Arah Jain

FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Arah Jain, a student leader, is committed to addressing one of healthcare’s most critical challenges—blood shortages. As the founder of Blood4Hope, he has helped contribute over 500+ units of blood to support 1500+ patients in need. Driven by a mission to educate communities about blood donation, he works closely with blood centers, healthcare professionals, and volunteers to promote awareness and inspire young donors. Alongside his service work, he is deeply interested in the science and systems behind healthcare delivery. His academic interests include research focused on improving blood supply systems and exploring data-driven solutions to reduce blood product wastage and predict shortages. Through leadership, education, and research, Arah hopes to help build a future where every patient has timely access to the blood they need to survive.

Terry Miles

MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mr. Terry Miles is a dedicated volunteer leader with the American Red Cross North Florida Region and a retired United States Navy veteran with over 15 years of service to the organization. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, he serves as a Regional Volunteer Recruitment Leader, where he focuses on blood drive recruitment, volunteer engagement, and new volunteer onboarding. His leadership and commitment have significantly strengthened regional blood donation efforts and supported the continued availability of life-saving blood for patients in need.

Sammy Chhour

MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Sammy Chhour is a committed Donor Recruiter and Account Manager with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Jacksonville, where he builds strong partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and community organizations. With several years of experience in donor recruitment and community outreach, he has led and supported numerous successful blood drives, helping increase donor participation and community engagement. Known for his dedication, reliability, and positive leadership, Sammy plays an important role in strengthening the blood supply and supporting life-saving blood donation efforts.

James Skahn

MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

James Skahn serves as the District Recruitment Manager for LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, he leads initiatives to recruit blood donors and engage the community, supporting local blood drives and helping to maintain a stable blood supply. James partners with organizations and community groups to promote awareness and encourage donations, ensuring that life-saving blood products are available for patients in need.

Amy Purvis

MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Amy Purvis is the Regional Director of Therapy Services, driving excellence in patient care and leading innovative therapy initiatives across her region. She also serves as President of the PTSA at Atlantic Coast High School, championing education, empowering families, and strengthening community programs.

Mentors and Advisors

Gauri Gupta

Gauri Gupta is active in community outreach and volunteer initiatives in Jacksonville and has served in leadership roles such as President of the Indian Cultural Society of Jacksonville, where she provided mentorship and community guidance.

Tamaya

Tamaya is a Phlebotomist at LifeSouth Community Blood Centers with direct experience in blood donation and donor care. Her work focuses on ensuring safe blood collection while supporting patients who rely on lifesaving transfusions. With her hands-on experience in blood collection and donor care, she provides valuable insight and mentorship to the Blood4Hope mission.

Erjola Hodo

Jola is a lawyer at Citi Bank who is deeply committed to the importance of blood donation and has actively supported donor recruitment efforts within the community

Earline Deutsch

Earline Deutsch is a seasoned professional based in the Jacksonville metro area known for her work in financial technology and operations. She also serves as a valued mentor to our organization, is a regular blood donor, and actively supports the community by helping recruit donors and promote the importance of blood donation.
